Thank you for considering booking a consultation with me. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Please review the T&Cs which will be useful information before we begin working together.

By booking a consultation with Katie Emerson you agree to the terms listed below.

Booking

Please double check the time zone when scheduling a consultation, as I am located in New Zealand and may be working different hours than expected

Cancellations

Please provide 24 hours notice if needing to cancel or reschedule a consultation, so that I may offer the opening to waitlisted clients. Last minute cancellations will incur a charge.

The Consultation

Consultations begin and end at the scheduled times, so lateness may result in a shortened meeting for the booked rate. For video calls, check emails prior to meeting time for the conference link. If for any reason it does not work, we will find another way to communicate. I may request additional info or photos to help determine appropriate remedies or suggestions.

Contact Between Consultations

We will discuss appropriate contact methods for updates in-between sessions at the consultation. This may include brief check-in email or WhatsApp message.

Pharmacy

After consultations, a remedy prescription will be provided. Only local New Zealand residents for Chronic consultations will be provided with a single, minimal dose remedy inclusive to their consultation fee plus the cost of postage. For all other clients, I endeavour to source a contact of where to purchase your remedy unless you have your own source. New Zealand Acute Clients, you can find some of the main remedy is Health Food Shops, otherwise please try Simillimimum, Lincoln Mall Pharmacy, or Selene Homeopathic Pharmacy.

First Aid Prescribing or Taking Remedies During Treatment

We will discuss taking other remedies during your treatment. First aid consultations can also be booked in between consultations if you have an acute symptom you need help with.

Mainstream Health Care and Medications

Homeopathy can be used alongside medications and mainstream healthcare. If your goal is reducing your medications over time, you will need to touch base with your doctor to for support in this process.

Emergency Care and Services

My services do not replace routine doctor visits or emergency care. Please utilise your local emergency service or standard medical services if health issues arise requiring immediate attention.

Confidentiality

I will keep any personal information and health details you provide confidential, in accordance with relevant privacy and data protection laws. Consultations may occur via online communication methods, but I will take reasonable steps to protect your privacy. Everything discussed and all notes collated at each consultation is confidential. Your information will not be discussed with anyone else unless subjective to by law for a specific reason. At time, cases are discussed among other homeopaths, though respect, privacy and anonymity is always maintained.

Emails

When you book a consultation with me, your email address will be added to my mailing list so that I can contact you about your consultations, about news and future courses. You can unsubscribe at any point.

Ethical Code of Conduct

I abide by the homeopathic Code of Ethics set down by the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths. If this consultation takes place via communications technology and you are not located within New Zealand, you acknowledge that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand, which may differ from the laws of the country you are located in. Any action brought concerning the interpretation or enforcement of this agreement or actions of the parties during the consultation shall be dealt with in accordance with the relevant legislation and dispute resolution practices in New Zealand.

Technology

The use of Internet, video calls, messenger, emails or telephone calls: I will take every precaution reasonable possible to ensure the privacy of your information but it cannot be guaranteed across these technologies.

Payment

The booking service will request a stripe payment at the time of the booking for all clients. In the case of specific or specialised appointment by special approval, I will send an invoice through to you. You can choose whether to pay by Stripe or via NZ bank transfer for NZ residents only. Please settle your invoice within 24 hours of receipt.

Technology

I use Microsoft Teams for Video calls. You DO NOT need to have the app, or sign up for Microsoft to utilise. Please click on the option to open in an internet browser for easy use. If you are using a cell phone for the teleconference, please ensure your “speaker” function is on to hear more clearly. If Teams is not possible then facebook messenger, or WhatApp is an option. I use email and WhatsApp for contact between consultations. I record all my homeopathic/Micronutrient Cellular Response Consultation for note taking purposes. All videos are safely saved in a secure cloud drive folder. I will endeavour to safely destroy videos at within 12-48 months.
